Galauti/Galawati Kabab- Vegetarian Version | Vegan Preparation

Foodelicious-Veg Galauti Kebab

Hi all!!

I love making Kebabs, which is quite evident from the number of kebabs I have posted earlier. Just to name a few here, there are two versions of vegetarian Shami kababs, one made using elephant foot yam and the other using soya. Then there are a few versions of vegetarian seekh kabab, to name a few, there’s one made using yellow lentils and then there’s another unique one made using green peas and walnut.

Recently, S got an entire raw Jackfruit from his office tree. And when we cut into it, we realised how tender and fresh the fruit was. Since, there was an entire jackfruit cut into pieces, we made many preparations using it, which I would gradually share here but I’m starting off with a kebab. I have posted a Jackfruit biryani for my 100th post and have also posted a unique Jackfruit and raw banana cutlet earlier using this wonderful, fibrous fruit which yields a meaty texture on cooking, enabling it to be used as meat replacer in vegetarian preparations.

Panko Crusted Buttermilk & Mushroom Croquettes | Easy Appetiser Recipe

Foodelicious- Panko Crusted Mushroom Croquettes
Hello  all!!
Wish you a very happy 2015. I know I’m quite late in wishing you that. Though blogging makes me feel content inside, I know I have been absent for a very long time here. This was probably the longest break I took. Let me assure you the break was not intentional but sometimes there are other things which take a priority and blogging takes a back seat. I do not get time to sit and draft a post easily even if I cooked and clicked pictures.

Baked Double Decker Cheese Rings | 500th Post | Easy Starter Recipe | Step Wise

Foodelicious-Baked Double Decker Cheese Rings
Hi all!
Can’t believe that I finally reached the milestone of 500th post. It has taken me five long years to reach here. Yeah, slow and steady wins the race Smile. I know, I could have been  faster than this but there were months when blogging took a back seat.
I wanted this post to be special, so I cooked and tried so many dishes keeping the 500th post in mind and it took me a month long to decide, which one would make it to the 500th mark. After baking these beauties, all my doubts vanished immediately, as I knew for sure that no one could deny a piece of it.

Mixed Sprouts Salad in Cabbage Cups | Food Presentation Ideas | Gluten Free | Dairy Free

DSC_6666.1

Hi all!!

This is my first post on food presentation ideas and I’m hoping to post many more. I strongly believe we first eat with our eyes. A food that is not overly cooked, has fresh colours and served in clean and neat dishes always looks more appealing. I’m always looking out for ideas to present food whenever I visit restaurants or watch food shows. I always get bowled over by the food presentation shown on various food channels. When I watch Master Chef Australia, I observe how much stress is given on the food presentation. The chefs take out time to design the look of their food on the paper before serving it. Food presentation is an art and it does need a thought process to do it rightly.

Smoked Cottage Cheese & Peas Curry Flavoured With Unroasted Garam Masala | बिन भुने गरम मसाले वाले मटर पनीर | My perception of the first IFBMeet

DSC_6743.1

Hi all!!
Living in my current city I’ve come to know a few bloggers very closely at personal level and there are many bloggers whom I have met in person and there are a lot many bloggers with whom I’ve connected virtually, who are from India and across the globe. But a chance to meet many at the same time, I guess any blogger would jump to grab such an opportunity. To meet the faces behind the creative world of food blogging under one roof would definitely be a dream come true.

I came to know about the first of it’s kind, an all India food bloggers meet about two months back when Aparna of My Diverse Kitchen had called to up to check out if I could be of any help in getting some one I know, to be a part of the  the event. She told me that four bloggers, Arunadati, Revathi, Nandita and herself, had come up with idea of having a bloggers meet and have been putting in all the efforts to organise the event. I was all excited to be a part of that and I told S to keep himself in the city to be with the kid while I was away attending the meet.

Bundt Garlic- Parmesan Pull Apart Bread With Tomato-Parsley Sauce, Step Wise & The New Winner Of ‘Only’ Mangoes

Foodelicious-Bundt garlic parmesan pull apart bread
Hi!
There are certain recipes that captures one’s attention the first time one reads it and then one gets desperate to try it. One such recipe that instantly clicked in my heart and brain was the Bundt Garlic and Parmesan Pull Apart Bread made by Pastry Affair.
I believe that when one read’s a recipe, one eats it first through one’s eyes, then imagine the flavors mentally and when finally, one tries it in their kitchen the virtual image turns into a physical reality. I truly followed the sequence this time. I was awed by the picture and technique and imagined the flavors and I was so desperate to try it that creating the  physical reality also happened very fast.

Crispy Salsa Cubes…a delicious starter/ Party Food/ Step Wise

Foodelicious- Crispy Salsa Cubes
Hi all!
Thanks for all the wishes that you wrote for me, I’m feeling much better now.
Today I’m posting a very quick to make starter which is extremely tasty and was loved by my family. The original recipe is from a cookery show and I had managed to pen down the recipe. In the original recipe once the basic starter was made many more sauces and chips were added and I personally found it messy to be served especially when one believes that the starters are finger foods and should be less messy. I have improvised the preparation in my way and the end product, of which I was very sceptical, turned out really good, so I thought of sharing it with every one.
