Galauti/Galawati Kabab- Vegetarian Version | Vegan Preparation
Hi all!!
I love making Kebabs, which is quite evident from the number of kebabs I have posted earlier. Just to name a few here, there are two versions of vegetarian Shami kababs, one made using elephant foot yam and the other using soya. Then there are a few versions of vegetarian seekh kabab, to name a few, there’s one made using yellow lentils and then there’s another unique one made using green peas and walnut.
Recently, S got an entire raw Jackfruit from his office tree. And when we cut into it, we realised how tender and fresh the fruit was. Since, there was an entire jackfruit cut into pieces, we made many preparations using it, which I would gradually share here but I’m starting off with a kebab. I have posted a Jackfruit biryani for my 100th post and have also posted a unique Jackfruit and raw banana cutlet earlier using this wonderful, fibrous fruit which yields a meaty texture on cooking, enabling it to be used as meat replacer in vegetarian preparations.

Quick Jammy Hearts | Easy Recipes With Bread | Step Wise
Hi all!!
Today being children’s day, I am sharing an easy recipe to treat your children. This gets ready in less than half an hour and is an extremely fuss free preparation. The centre of the heart is filled with sweet Jam and hence I call it Jammy hearts.
My kid who is in his teens now and still loves to celebrate the Children’s Day, gobbled up all of these and did not complaint of a Jam filled centre. Yes, my son doesn’t like Sweet Jam and I was more than happy to see him eat the Jam this way.

Khasta Namkeen Paare | खस्ता नमकपारे | Step Wise | Diwali Treats
Hi all!!
Today I’m sharing one of my most favourite snacks which goes well with a cup of tea or coffee. No Diwali celebration is complete for me unless I make these namakpaare or salted deep fried biscuits. Over the years I have mastered the art of making these and now know very well the nuances in it’s making.

Mushroom & Onions Focaccia
Hi!
The Focaccia frequents my kitchen quite regularly as these are enriched breads which are easy to make. One can try making them with various toppings and variations. This one is the third focaccia recipe that I’m posting here. I’ve previously posted Rosemary-Onion Focaccia and Focaccia Caprese.
I was baking another batch of Focaccia Caprese when I decided to make this combination too. I wasn’t too sure how mushroom would taste on it but decided to give it a go and I was contented with the outcome. Focaccia is a very forgiving bread and one normally can’t mess it up. The combination worked and the addition of sea salt gave a nice coarse crunch and saltiness to the topping. I would recommend you not to skip the coarse sea salt. S’s verdict was that the focaccia tastes awesome because of the sea salt.

Schezwan Sauce Flavoured Mini Bread Cigars | Indo-Chinese Preparation
Hi All!
There’s no major recipe in today’s post but it’s a concept in itself which can generate many more ideas and hence the preparation left me content. The preparation was created completely out of an attempt to finish off a few things lying in the fridge. There were a few slices of bread left from the loaf I had made after baking the Komaj and there was half a bottle of readymade Shezwan sauce giving me constant stare every time I opened the fridge.

Five Spice Flavoured Cottage Cheese Balls Stuffed With Plums and Chinese Plum Sauce | Step Wise | Food Presentation Ideas-2
Hi all!!
I can’t believe at myself, I’m posting like I’m running a marathon. This is my fourth post in the last four days which also happens to be my fourth consecutive post on plums and it is yet again a savoury preparation in which I’ve used plums in two ways; stuffed and prepared a sauce. I’m trying hard to avoid the sugar but I might land up posting something sweet..temptations are bad!! As you must have guessed this post is again for Kitchen Aid Contest for IFBMeet, where I’m trying to win a Kitchen Aid Chopper.

Sabudana vada in a new avatar- low oil and cheese stuffed version | कम तेल में बना,भरा हुआ साबुदाना वडा | Gluten Free | StepWise
Hi!
Being the foodie that I’m, I love collecting kitchen utensils, appliances and tools and one such utensil that I’m very fond of in my kitchen, is my non stick paniyaram pan. I love it to the core, as by using this I’m able to make low oil kofta, fritters and many snacks which are fried otherwise.
Recently I read a recipe using a paniyaram pan in a food group on face book, that I follow religiously. The group is very inspiring as I learn something new everyday. The members there are so creative and encouraging. They love to share their food creations and are ready to teach and learn from each other. This recipe that I’ve created is inspired by a recipe posted in the food group.

Mixed Sprouts Salad in Cabbage Cups | Food Presentation Ideas | Gluten Free | Dairy Free
Hi all!!
This is my first post on food presentation ideas and I’m hoping to post many more. I strongly believe we first eat with our eyes. A food that is not overly cooked, has fresh colours and served in clean and neat dishes always looks more appealing. I’m always looking out for ideas to present food whenever I visit restaurants or watch food shows. I always get bowled over by the food presentation shown on various food channels. When I watch Master Chef Australia, I observe how much stress is given on the food presentation. The chefs take out time to design the look of their food on the paper before serving it. Food presentation is an art and it does need a thought process to do it rightly.

Persian Bread Komaj | We Knead To Bake #18 | Stepwise
Hi All!
This bread is a part of We Knead To Bake challenge thrown every month by Aparna. Though I baked this bread more than a week back but amidst son’s assessments I could not get enough time to write the detailed post.
Komaj is a sweet and savoury Persian bread with a filling of chopped dates and served with tea. The bread is spiced with turmeric and cumin and it’s the turmeric that gives the yellow colour to the bread. I was looking forward to see how turmeric, cumin and dates work together.
