Product Review Of Vegit Snack Mixes | Raw Mango & Mint Chutney |Summer Food | Gluten Free | Dairy Free

DSC_6623.1

Hi all!!
Past one month my kitchen mixer was giving me trouble and I was not able to grind anything because of that. It was lying in the service centre, as a particular part which had got spoilt was not available. If one reads my previous posts one would realise I’ve not posted any recipe which makes use of the mixer grinder. I realised how much of my daily chores are dependent on the humble grinder.

Grilled Chilli Paneer Cubes | Easy Starter Recipe | Bachelor’s Cooking | Gluten Free | Finger Food | Step Wise

Hi All!

As I have mentioned in my Mango & Dark Chocolate Trifle Post, that the kid is 14yrs old now and what I didn’t mention was that he is in the 9th grade and due to which the study pressures are very high. His school hours have got extended by an hour now and post school he rushes for his coaching class, so he is invariably out for 11-1/2hrs and by the time he comes home, he is very tired and hungry. Though, I ensure that he carries two lunch boxes but at a growing age, the children are always hungry and they need to eat food at short intervals.

Mango and Dark Chocolate Trifle | Quick Dessert Ideas | Party Dessert

DSC_6353.1
Hi All!
Last week the kid turned 14 and he had a wish list of food items that he wanted me to cook. Topping in the list was a cake baked and frosted by me. In addition to that he wanted daal makhani and momos. I requested him that I would bake him a cake after the summers but he didn’t budge.

So I baked him an eggless dark chocolate cake with a dark chocolate Ganache filling and frosted with whipped cream. Finally I topped the cake with chocolate curls and fresh cherries. For the cake I used my eggless sponge cake with home made cream recipe. I removed 3tbsp of flour from theoriginal recipe and replaced it with 3tbsp of dark cocoa powder and also reduced the sugar in the cake, as the cake had a ganache filling and frosting too.

Okra Curry With Yogurt and Roasted Peanuts | दही और मूंगफ़ली वाली भिंडी | Step Wise

DSC_6150-001.1

Hi All!!

I’m sharing yet another simple curry with one of my favourite vegetable Okra/भिंडी/Bhindi. My penchant for this vegetable can be seen with the number of curries I’ve posted using it. And today I’m sharing THE most favourite version of mine.

As a child, I always over ate whenever my Mom made this curry and she kept pampering me by making it quite often. Post marriage it has now become a favourite with my husband and the elder one too. The younger one unlike me despises the Okra and that’s the reason that I’m unable to cook Okra that frequently in my kitchen. But there are days when I do not relent to his choice of not eating this vegetable and though half heartedly, he eats it. For a change he prefers to eat this version of Okra more than the others which is a kind of respite for me as a homemaker who has to keep every one satisfied.

हरी मिर्च-अदरक के स्वाद वाले राजमा | Light to eat - green chilli and ginger flavoured Kidney beans & Jeera Rice | Lunch Combo-1 | Step Wise | No Onion & Garlic Recipe

DSC_0130-001

Hi all!!
The vacations have got over and the younger kid started his school. Can’t believe that the younger one is in 9th grade. He continues to be the carefree, careless lad and I continue to be the worried mother Sad smile. My prayers these days are largely for both my children, I hope and pray that they grow up into sincere, sensible human beings. The elder one has taken up photography seriously and wants to make a career in that. It’s his vacation time and he has been spending time with us. So, while he is around I ensure that I cook his favourites too and since he understands photography much better than me, pick up some photography tips as well , while I click.
