Effect Of Estrogen On Osteoporosis and ‘ONLY’ Series Event Announcement, Giveaway For September

Hi All!
Hope my friends and readers are doing fine.
Last few days have been chaotic in my life, as I mentioned in my last post that there are health issues which I need to sort out before I get to a steady blogging.
I’ve written articles in my blog related to hormones especially ‘the feel good ones’ here and here in my blog and which have been appreciated by many. I love to read articles on food with their health benefits and that helps me apply the knowledge that I’ve gained in the food that I cook for the family.
As we all know that the hormones play a vital role in our body and understanding their role and effect can help us minimize their negative effect and increase the positive ones. There are two major hormones that regulate a female body, Progesterone and Oestrogen/ Estrogen. Being a female in her thirties, I’m always worried about keeping a track and balance of the calcium level in my body so that my bones can stay strong and I can avoid osteoporosis in my old age. I know that my worry is also the worry for many women across the globe and hence I decided to write this post highlighting one aspect that can be controlled to avoid osteoporosis..

Hi All!

It seems like ages that I wrote a post, and today as I type this post, I’m wondering, how many things happened in the past few days and I was so involved and engrossed in all those activities that I simply forgot that I have a blog too, which was completely ignored all these days and yes, I did not visit any blogs too..

I want to do so much for my blog but unfortunately I’m not able to. Some times I feel that I’m too slow hence I’m not able to accomplish what I actually want to, but at night, when I sit and try to look back at what all I completed in the day, it appears humongous. I guess I’m just trying to be positive about myself and the life I lead, but must confess, the pressures of life are taking over me.

Event Round Up..Healthy Food For Healthy Kids- Preschooler Snacks

Hello everyone.

Tomorrow  India celebrates 65 years of Independence. Wishing all Indians throughout the world A Happy Independence Day.

Sorry for suddenly disappearing but I must confess, I’m just too busy these days. Kids, home front and guests have kept me away from blogging. Personally, I need a break for myself but unfortunately the circumstances are not letting me take a one. Cooking happens regularly but I do not get time to click and post.

Since I had taken responsibility to host Nithu’s event, I’m just squeezing out time to post this round up. I was so looking forward to post some amazing recipes for my event ‘Only’ Recipes from Royal Kitchens this month and with the time constraint, I’m just not able to do it..

Winner of the Giveaway for July’s -‘Only’ Microwave Cooking

Hello all!!
Last month I enjoyed using my microwave to the fullest and cooking many recipes in it. Though I did not receive many recipes for the event, I was happy to read that many of the bloggers attempted cooking in the microwave especially for the event. I’m so glad, finally what matters is that the purpose is solved. Even if a few bloggers tried but at least they tried cooking in the microwave.
There are total of 15entries and out of the 13Indian entries sent to me, I will now pick the winner of the giveaway, but before that go through the round up….

Watermelon Rind Thalipeeth..a treat for fasting days | तरबूज के सफेद भाग का उपवास के लिए थालीपीठ | Step Wise | Gluten Free | Dairy Free

DSC_1802

Hi.
In a traditional Maharashtrian family fasting is quite regular. fasting on Ekadashi, Chaturthi is quite common, apart from that some people do fast on Tuesdays/Mangalwar or Thursdays/Guruwar or any one day of the week. On such days they stick to fasting food that is, no grains are eaten and only satvik food is eaten like sabudana, bhagar, potatoes, sweet potatoes. Even salt used is not the common salt but sendha namak is used. In these months, many people fast for Shravan Somvaar  i.e. the Mondays of Monsoon and a few fast on Fridays too.
